The Other Side of God

Narissa Moeller July 15, 2021

First off we must never forget that, we are God. Not just an image of God or a spark of God but rather God in His/Her full glory. Almighty God.

However, there’s another side to God. Humble God. A disempowered God. God purposely forgetting His/Her almighty-ness. That’s the role we all are currently playing.

If God is truly Everything how is humility known? Through the experience of humanity and mortality. What better way than to temporarily forget one’s almighty-ness and fully experience, loss, heartbreak, defeat, betrayal, limitations of every kind.

Everything that’s difficult and brings us to our knees is of our own doing designed on purpose for the sake of experiencing humility to understand compassion and ultimately love.

So enjoy all those tears, bad karma, fear and short comings. As God we need that to remember All that we are. There’s power in disempowerment. Maybe there really is Fun in dysfunctional. :)

All Love my Friends. ❤️❤️❤️

Self as Crystalline

Narissa Moeller January 28, 2021

Yet Another Cosmic Playground.

Self can be experienced in many different ways. It can be in the form of subtle consciousness where you feel yourself to be everything. Found in all objects equally. A Unity Consciousness experience. Or it can be more individualized as an experience of pure consciousness extending from the body for several feet/meters in all directions. The experience of Atman. It can also be experienced as a spiral of lively awareness, with color and song, not only encircling the body but also acting as the inner workings of the spirit body within the physical body. The experience of Veda.

However, on this particular occasion I’d like to discuss the Self as a more solid structure. Many have experienced Self as more of a crystalline structure, gem-like in its nature. This crystalline structure lends itself, when going in the direction of a more solid form, to mathematics, the sacred geometry, as it were. This opens the door to elements of the yantra, powerful geometric patterns often used for meditation.

This crystalline based experience is also referenced in the 8th word of the first verse of the RK Veda as Ratna, meaning hidden treasure or gems. If you feel into Self with a sense of crystalline energy you can experience this unique phenomenon. Self as crystalline, mathematics, yantra, gems. When I do this exercise, I experience these gems sitting in a milky substance a liquid consciousness a type of soma. Feeling into this realm one seamlessly slides into the next and last word of the first verse of RK Veda, Dhatamam (the Giver). The Giver of Ratna. I’ve come to know this as the direct experience of Divine Mother.

Divine Mother in this matter can be experienced as a subtle anthropomorphic being or more truly as final source layer of energy in all its majesty, that being a more abstract experience. A celestial layered cake where each layer can be tasted either individually or as a whole depending on where the experiencer is in their current state of consciousness. Are you resting in individuality or universality? Or perhaps between both thereby taking the experience to the max by experiencing both simultaneously. Feel into That. ❤️

Patanjali and Chapter 4 Verse 25 of Bhagavad Gita

Narissa Moeller January 3, 2021

In the yoga sutras Patanjali delineates three sutras in particular, dharana (focus), dhyana (meditation) and samadhi (transcendence). Together Patanjali terms them as samyama, a method for invoking knowledge of the object of focus, to know the very essence of the object.

Example: by lending focus (dharana) to say, the quality of friendliness we may travel into finer layers (dhyana) of friendliness until we transcend (samadhi) friendliness.

The internal experience of such an act would be to know the object so completely that we adopt the essence of that object, in this case the quality of friendliness.

Another thing is happening during this exercise. We are going beyond the object and experiencing samadhi. However, the experience of samadhi is flavored by the entryway in which we came. Its samadhi but it tastes like some version of friendliness.

So outwardly, we immerse ourselves in friendliness and in someway take on that quality of friendliness. But inwardly, we transcend with the flavor of the object, in this case friendliness.

At this fine layer of awareness the object, friendliness, looks and feels like a colored mist, for me its light green. This mist is actually the veil of maya, illusion, flavored as friendliness. Know that this is the view from the material world.

From the world of the transcendent, Patanjali terms it, savichara, samadhi with seed as opposed to samadhi without seed, nirvichara. Perspective does matter.

A term that encompasses both may better be, ritam bhara prajna, intelligence filled with truth. In this layer of awareness we know the object in its true and perfect form. The blueprint form, its vedic form as such it can be understood as both/neither simultaneously as subtle material or nothingness. If you’re in an upbeat place its glorious beyond glory. If you’re not, its zero, nothingness. If you’re feeling harmonious its both glorious and zero. If you’re feeling non-harmonious its neither or total negation. As maturation of consciousness development sets in, your awareness will grow beyond alteration of the options, into simultaneity of the options. It’s no wonder many enlightened people are looked at as nuts. :) In many cases you become a party 🎉 of one. :)

Let’s get back to this element of the experience of subtler layers. Frankly, it’s much easier to follow.

So as we experience finer states of the object we transcend samadhi with seed, savichara, and go into samadhi without seed, nirvichara. This is a state of atma or brahman. In knowing this we come to realize that following any object to its purest state will deliver us to brahman. And by doing this exercise with object after object one can stitch together brahman, as it were. This is the essence of the Brahma Sutras.

What this also is, is the discovery of a path to brahman consciousness. In chapter 4 v 25 it states, "Some yogis perform yagyas (sacrifice) to the gods. Others offer sacrifice to the fire of Brahman". The offering of sacrifice to the "fire of Brahman" uses the god as an avenue to Brahman. By doing the yagya like this both the god is satisfied as well as Brahman. The main reason there is worship to any god is so we may select a relative perfect form/vehicle in which to travel to Brahman. This is the main purpose of a mantra.

Note, that in the same way we use a sutra to experience finer levels of the object and arrive at samadhi with a specific flavor by using a mantra or name of a god or goddess we will also find samadhi to be flavored with the essence of that mantra/god.

As one moves forward in their own consciousness development at some point this phenomenon is naturally recognized and we find ourselves using the mantra less because its not pure enough. We innately desire to experience brahman without the flavor of something else so we drop the training wheels. At this stage of our consciousness development we can arrive at brahman without aids, without seeds, solely by itself/ourself. We recognize in ourselves that we are brahman and everything we perceive is brahman and brahman alone is.

Mantra meditations and Patanjali sutra exercises have served to deliver us to the goal. As such we lose the appetite for them. We respect their royal standing and honorably bow to them but we move past them to pure direct experience of brahman without these filters, or flavors.

Do we now enter brahman with some other kind of filter? Yes, but that filter now is our own nature. Brahman has become personalized. Its our Brahman. We own It. It owns us. Looking at this from either way it ends up being the same. Lending value to the concept of "sameness". An appropriate description. Sameness in all directions.

Healing 2

Narissa Moeller December 20, 2020

What can healing 2 be?

Healing 1 provided knowledge of the subtle structure of the body, our veda body and a method for enlivening, actualizing of that treasure (Ratna - the 8th word/sound of RK Veda, meaning treasure or gems). This actualization was done with determination or intention. That focus of attention on the spiral of our veda body.

Healing 2, in contrast will show you how to activate this beautiful layer of veda body without intention via the release of intention thereby enabling the process of surrender.

There are two ways to gain consciousness development, one through focus or intention or two through surrender. Try them both then decide.

Know that this beautiful layer of your own self/Self has its own mind. We are both individual and communal simultaneously. We are in the game and are the game simultaneously. So let’s try to allow the whole thing to play itself/ourself.

This requires faith - maybe. Trusting that there is an intelligence, in reality an aspect of our own communal intelligence that knows more than our individual intelligence. So in someway we are looking at it as having faith but on the other hand it’s more like trusting in our more comprehensive Self. We are the whole show.

Enough with the chatter let’s get to it.

Allow yourself to feel this multi colored, comfortable vibe of spiraling, lively, veda body. Let yourself see it, then be it. Rest there without intention just feel the vibe. Smell the roses.

Allow your own cosmic intelligence to select what it/you need. Allow the process to guide itself.

The devatas, the tiny helpers in this deep subtle layer of spiraling, single helix, veda body will take over. They know what to do. Let them go to work.

Rest in this state of activity without activity.

Enjoy my friends. Enjoy ❤️

Healing 1

Narissa Moeller December 16, 2020

Last week I had an email exchange with a seasoned spiritual healer I’ve known for a long time. She’s very effective in her craft and intellectually brilliant as well.

In this exchange she brought up seeing disease as a “misinterpretation of wholeness” which I love. That seemed to inspire me to go deep into this field of disease and its antithesis healing. The following is my reply to her email. I left it in its original form since I doubt I can say it any better.

==============

This is such a great exchange. Love your vision of disease being a misinterpretation of wholeness. How absolutely beautifully expressed. And the visual you provide of that layer of misinterpretation being as a film or vail covering true wholeness. Yes that is illusionary, it’s the source of maya in a large scale. My initial sense is that this has a relationship with free will.

The whole misinterpretation thing came from an endless series of innocent choices none of which seemed too “off” in the moment but collectively was responsible for creating a false reality. A slow brainwashing resulting in a new fake perception which over time has solidified into a belief system. With each step being harder to remember the truth of what we are.

I never thought of this. Thank you for helping to deliver this capsule of knowledge.

Changing the subject. This morning I followed this component of perfect health from veda to the body’s veda. This large rotating cylinder of veda has a way of spiraling down/into the body’s veda containing everything “big” veda has. This is why we have the ability to cognize totality, wholeness, veda because in the final analysis there is no difference in its purest form between the two. I’m talking now of this reality in its purest state.

I drilled deeper. Between the syllables or reverberations of veda within those gaps are endless avenues in veda where pure absolute nothingness, consciousness, leaks in. This is how absolute and relative coexist. This nice exchange between the two.

Drilling deeper. The perfect place to be is resting between these two domains. The relative in its highest glory as veda and the absolute in its state of becoming. A place that is neither absolute nor relative or both absolute and relative.

Take a moment to feel this. Notice how exulting this is.

By the way, when we feel deeply into something we actually use the sense of touch. Touch experienced on this real fine level is heart and deeper is love. This is the value of bringing the senses into the experience.

Back to this place between nothingness and finest veda. This feels like the very seed of perfect health viewed from a physical perspective. Resting here all systems are in perfect operation. This is where the magic happens. Ultimate healing for the purposes of this discussion.

I’m having trouble writing more. Just being overtaken by this exultation. I have more to say but I’m giving in to this strong internal sense.

Thank you.

P.S. I’m back. Haha. Yes this point between these two greatnesses. By resting here one might say we are creating a relationship between body and ...

=============

Since this discussion was with regard to healing I framed the knowledge as such. However, this point between absolute or transcendental consciousness and the finest relative or veda has application beyond physical healing. Even if we think of things in a simple way such as body, mind and spirit this junction point has application. Its most definitely not confined to healing.

So, for the sake of this article, let’s see if there is a way to convert knowledge into action. Specifically, a healing technique.

Rest in your own quiet-ness. From here gently imagine the experience of a rotating spiral of multi colored light gradually rotating in a clockwise direction, if you were looking from above (you should be sitting up). Now simply let this gradual rotating be all you are. Nice colors and a pleasant vibe perhaps even subtle unknown ancient sounds. Let the senses be filled with this state.

Now, let your attention, in the form of a bright light, perhaps an inch or two in diameter, go up and down this internal spiral which is a subtle state of You.

Rest in this exulted state for a few minutes. With your light of attention moving effortlessly, internal within your spiral from your bottom to just above the top of your head. Let this be an easy undulation like the movement of a pendulum on a large grandfather clock.

Blessings ❤️❤️❤️

Wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita (Part 5)

Narissa Moeller December 2, 2020

In chapter 12 v 13 Lord Krishna introduces para (highest) brahman as na (not) sat (existence), na asat (non-existence). In this, the very nature of the highest brahman is described by the highest authority that has come to earth to explain the profound layers of consciousness knowledge.

Know that He explains this knowledge as a “What” then later in the Gita He explains it as a “Who”. Why first as a What?

In our development of consciousness experience we first obverse the new layer of development as an object. In those early stages of knowing a new layer of awareness our essence of Self is a witness to the new layer of awareness.

However, with more familiarity and comfort we gradually accept this new found state as a new realization of our own Self. Thereby understanding it as a subject. So the What of consciousness always precedes the Who of consciousness.

For the sake of remembrance the Who is stated by Lord Krishna in chapter 15 v 18 where Krishna states He is “... higher than the imperishable... and celebrated as Purusottamah” clearly spelling out the Who of the highest consciousness, para brahman.

One very important step remains for this ultimate layer of consciousness to be complete. It’s the point where we step into this realization. Lord Krishna discusses this in chapter 13 v 18 when He says, “My devotee, understanding this, enters into (arrives at) My state of being”.

Note that Krishna talks of “It” as a state, a What because at this point in the revealing of the knowledge He is teaching of that knowledge as a What. Later after Krishna speaks of the knowledge from the perspective of Who in chapter 18 v 55 He says, “By devotion to Me, he (the aspirant) comes to know who I am in truth. Then having known Me in truth, he enters Me immediately”.

There is a lot here. I hope I can do it justice. In brief, first there is devotion, which gives way to truth, which culminates in union. All 3 stages are respected here. This is how the truly wise speak to at least 3 layers of consciousness, in one breath.

Through devotion a closeness to the guru, god or goddess is created. This closeness, in time, will reveal truth. The truth being that they are the be all and end all in their ultimate state. They are everything there is. By the use of their own perfection they expose all of consciousness to us. This is very profound, worth reading again.

Now for the union part.

Not only are they the be all and end all but so are You. Once that is really realized. That is, realizing this with every fiber of your being. Then one will enter Him/Her/You immediately. It literally is in a flash. And that level of peace is total. Complete fullness. Totality. True Wholeness.

I encourage all of you to use your guru, god, goddess as an avenue to the realization of your own Self.

Know that your ultimate truth is identical to their ultimate truth. That’s why at the end of the journey you simply end up with You. You are wholeness already.

Don’t give away your treasure (Ratna - eighth word/sound of the RK Veda, meaning gems/treasure) to anyone else. No need to admire what any god or guru has because you have the same stuff in spades. They are just advertising it more. Cloaking themselves in it. Giving the illusion that they are the few entrusted with it. Not so. We are equal owners of It. Cut through the BS and see it clearly. YOU are the show. Own It.

Where is humility and respect?

It’s there, always. We respect and honor our parents and teachers but we also live our own lives powered by all our knowledge and experience. We live predominantly off of the culmination of all of it. We step into ourselves, while still honoring those that provide assistance to our development.

Do this same dance with your consciousness pursuits. Realize your value. Take It. Own It. Its yours. It was always yours. It will always be yours. No one can give you what you already own. That’s why enlightenment is a realization. A function of memory (smrtis).

Arjuna’s last statement to Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita is, “Now I remember”.

Wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita (Part 4)

Narissa Moeller August 29, 2020

It would seem that in chapter 13 v 12 where Lord Krishna says, “param brahman “, the highest brahman, is neither existence nor non-existence, that the door to consciousness development is now closed. From a state of consciousness it is. However, Lord Krishna continues, in chapter 15 v 16 for yet another 5 verse run. Chapter 15 v 16, “There are two “purusau” in the world, the perishable and the imperishable...”

Chapter 15 v 17, “But the highest (uttamas) purusas is another, called param atma (supreme Self). Who entering the three worlds as Isvarah, supports them (the perishable and imperishable).

Wow, we are definitely in deep waters here. We had the perishable and imperishable but now we have Isvarah who appears to be an overlord that supports the previous two.

Chapter 15 v 18, “Since I transcend (atitas) the perishable an am higher than the imperishable... I’m celebrated (prathitas) as purusottamah (the supreme purusa)”.

“Higher than the imperishable”? This is incomprehensible. I mean, think about it. How can one be higher than the imperishable. Like, where is that state? Just feeling into this reality causes one to be completely without foundation. Talk about true non-attachment.

Verses like this can’t simply be thought of. They must be taken into the heart and deeply felt.

Lord Krishna, in the form of Vishnu, Ishvarah (param atma), and now Purusottamah, the ultimate (uttamas) Purusa, is to be known through a perfect blend of mind, heart and soul.

Chapter 15 v 19, “He who, undeluded, unconfused, knows Me, as Purusottamam, he, sarvavit (all-knowing, omniscient, omni-cognizant), bhajati (worships, loves) Me, with sarvabhavena (all, whole, entire being).

Again, as in chapter 13 v 18, a brilliant folding in of a statement of achievement with a compassionate invitation to join Him in a place (loka) which is higher than the imperishable or not existence nor non-existence. A place/state that is incomprehensible nothingness yet simultaneously full, leaving one wanting for nothing. :)

Chapter 15 v 20, “Thus this most secret doctrine has been taught by Me, O Arjuna; having awakened to this, a man should be (syat), buddhiman (wise, enlightened) with all duties fulfilled (krtakrtyas).

Amazing how Lord Krishna takes Arjuna from the highest of spiritual highs in the previous verse to, down-to-earth, in this verse creating linkage and practicality. Useful in this moment. True mastery.

So, from the seemingly impersonal state of param brahman in chapter 13 starting with verse 12 of "not existence nor non-existence" to the very personal state of purusottamah, "higher than the imperishable". I get a sense of initially knowing the Highest then stepping into the Highest. The knowledge in chapter 13 addresses the question of, What am I? While chapter 15 answers the question, Who am I? What vs Who. These are probably the two eternal questions posed by the true seeker. From the standpoint of God it may play out as - once the creation is complete (the what) the creator (the who) steps into their creation.

In someways this can be seen as the journey of the seeker but in a deeper context it’s our inevitable evolution. Where we feel our way, through the avenue of the heart, to a state of oneness with this divine entity, Krishna, Vishnu, Isvarah, Purusottamah and in so doing, step into, realize and become our destiny.

Wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita (Part 3)

Narissa Moeller August 15, 2020

The Bhagavad Gita is a 2 hour conversation between Vishnu, in the personage of Lord Krishna, and a great, highly intelligent, deeply sensitive, archer named Arjuna. Arjuna poses excellent questions of Lord Krishna about what he is about to do in the heat of battle against many of his respected teachers and relatives. This conversation takes place in the middle of this battlefield prior to war.

In this discussion Lord Krishna, driven by Arjuna’s profound questions, delivers a gigantic tranche of high knowledge about enlightenment that sages are still writing commentary about today. Over the roughly 5,000 years since that monumental event, commentary on the Bhagavad Gita has become a standard of consciousness development for those who have attempted commentary on the text.

No book has ever been written before or since containing the depth and breathe of this level of knowledge. Mainly, because no one has a better understanding of enlightenment that has chosen to speak on the subject beyond Lord Vishnu. If one really wants to know all there is to know about enlightenment they will find themselves humbly at the threshold of this study, no matter what their level of consciousness experience.

I write this to shine a spotlight on this work. A work that's designed to remind us of the value in undertaking the search for our truest nature both as individuals and as a civilization.

In my opinion, for the true seeker of knowledge, the study of the Bhagavad Gita, the words of Lord Krishna, is the pinnacle of knowledge.

In the previous two blogs I identified 3 iconic sections of the Gita that I feel denotes 3 very distinct evolutions in consciousness development. Each of these states are in the field of enlightenment. So, even the mastery of the 1st level of awareness is a great achievement. It would be easy for a seeker to uncover the wisdom in chapter 2 v 45 and experience, Liberation. Yes, with a capital “L”.  Being without the 3 gunas ... possessed of the Self (atmavan), resting in Atma is indeed a great attainment. The only reason I am writing more is because the knowledge that Lord Krishna reveals, doesn’t end there and internally I am compelled to honor the knowledge for some reason. The knowledge and the speaker of the knowledge, demand to be heard. As such, I find myself unfolding this cognition.

The instructions in chapter 2 v 45 takes the seeker from living life driven by the small self, an ego based reality, to living life driven by big Self, a divine based reality. For most of us that is phenomenal. However, there are layers to this reality. Initially, it’s felt as almost a bubble of awareness extending around us for maybe 10 to 20 feet in diameter but over time that bubble is sometimes known to be considerably larger with a depth of endless unfoldments within it. A strange thing happens. You begin to know your divine nature as very large but the rest of the world outside of Self is separate from your internal reality. However, one day that outside world becomes known to your infinite expanded Self as “another” infinite expanded Self. Both these infinities then look at each other and literally fall in love.

Some have described this as the divine worshipper meeting the divine worshipped, God for short. Haha. This is such a beautiful time. Your glorious grand Self finds someone or something that really knows It’s own nature, completely. It’s the best that a relationship can be. It’s the highest of relationships. But then the relationship ends. It ends in both infinities merging into one magnificent infinity. The relationship is no more.

When waking up to this some say, “Where did my God go?” We realize that the very essence of our Atma, our Self, is identical to the very essence of the Self of God. No difference. No separation. Perfect Oneness. Self has now grown to encompass everything. This state of awareness is expressed in chapter 6 v 32 of the Gita. “He who sees evenness everywhere by comparison (analogous to) their own Self... Is thought to be the highest yogi.”

In the commentary to the Bhagavad Gita by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi he speaks clearly about this transformation of consciousness. He states, “... the link of worship, of adoration and devotion, finds fulfillment in its own extinction, leaving worshipper and worshipped, together in perfect oneness...”

This is clearly a state beyond devotion. When experienced, one alternates between one’s own individualized Self and the Self of God, being unsure who is observing and performing at any given moment.

What could be greater than this? Many sages have ended it here. However, it seems consciousness isn’t finished developing. One more major discovery remains.

I have personally named this awareness the pinnacle of “white enlightenment” or “white transcendence” as opposed to “dark enlightenment” or dark transcendence”. One is the epitome of Everything - All Light - White Transcendence. The other is the epitome of Nothing-ness - No Light - Dark Transcendence. I found support for this experience in the words of Lord Krishna in chapter 13 v 12, “It is the beginningless (anadimat) highest (param) brahman, that it is said (ucyate) to be not (na) existence (sat) nor (na) non-existence (asat).”

So, the highest brahman is not existence nor non-existence. I love this. We are now looking at consciousness from the standpoint of negation. Not this. Not that. As such, providing knowledge by way of no limits.

Many have described the ultimate state by what Its not, leaving Its description as un-named. Like, the Un-created, Un-changed, Un-bounded, Attribute-less, In-finite, Im-perishable.

This opens the door to the realm of Nothing-ness as the basis or highest state, this dark transcendence phenomenon. A state absent of Everything. Even Maharishi had touched on this awareness terming it the “Fullness of Emptiness” as opposed to the “Fullness of Fullness”. He related this to the first two letters of the first verse of the first Veda, RK Veda. The first letter is “A” (Ah) meaning Full Open. The second letter is “K” (Ka) meaning Full Close. Full Open the Fullness of Fullness. Full Close the Fullness of Emptiness.

So from two impeccable sources, the words of Lord Krishna chapter 13 v 12 “not existence nor non-existence” and the first two letters of RK Veda, “A” and “K”, we see evidence of the Fullness of Fullness and the the Fullness of Emptiness.

To finish this exposition I’d like to turn back to the Bhagavad Gita chapter 13 v 18 where Lord Krishna states, “Thus the field (ksetram), knowledge and the object of knowledge have been briefly described. My devotee (madbhaktas) understanding this arrive into My state of being.”

This is so very beautiful. In this statement Lord Krishna is both describing a process of achievement and compassionately extending an invitation to be joined, somehow blending devotion and oneness. No more need be said. Simply rest in the experience. May the influence of these divine waves of knowledge penetrate deeply into your core.

Wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita (Part 2)

Narissa Moeller July 20, 2020

Those 3 examples of the Gita, mentioned in the previous blog, really denote steps of enlightenment.

Chapter 2 v 45 is really about Cosmic Consciousness. The state of awareness where one becomes acutely conscious of the silent witness, aspect of our selves that is always there resting behind our thinking and actions that quietly observes everything we do. We become so keen to that state that we simply rest there and notice how our thoughts and actions carry on there functions, automatically. That which was silently in the background, is now in the foreground as our primary state of awareness.

Chapter 6 v 32 is Unity Consciousness or the Unity of God Consciousness as Maharishi terms it. A state of consciousness that allows the individual Self to realize that ultimately its nature is identical to that of God. As such, the worshipper has risen to the level of the worshipped. One’s psychology is found initially to alternate between identifying with one’s supreme state of Self and God. Over time that alternation matures and that state grows into a simultaneous state where these realities live in perfect oneness, thus the term Unity Consciousness.

Chapter 13 v 12 is about para brahman - Brahman without attributes - the highest Brahman. Much high level commentary on "param brahman is neither existence nor non-existence" have said it’s “neither” because it’s both. I say, not so. If that were the case we'd be right back to UC which was expressed in chapter 6 v 32.

Chapter 13 v 12 is clearly a step up. Its approach is from a level of negation. Not this. Not that. Its the removal of any form of identification not of small self but of Big Self, universal Self. That's a whole different zip code. This is not a UC level of experience.

This level of negation speaks to the very heart of identity. It’s beyond Self. Even the word Self denotes ego, identity. Yeah, its Big Self a great state of awareness but it’s still a form of identity. As such, there is still a sense of attachment. Lord Krishna is bringing Arjuna to the ultimate non-attachment - Param Brahman. Brahman without anything else. Not even Self.

This is total renunciation. An absence of attachment. A field of awareness that contains zero influence's. Lord Krishna has allowed the psychology of Arjuna to be devoid of everything. He now will simply and directly do his duty, his dharma. His skills are free to be expressed at their highest level. Lord Krishna, the charioteer, will deliver Arjuna, the archer, to where they will be most effective and the action will happen, automatically, with perfection. Such, a beautiful metaphor for life in this glorious state of awareness.

Wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita (Part 1)

Narissa Moeller July 16, 2020

There are certain iconic verses in the Gita that serve as anchors of consciousness. Chapter 2 v 45, comes to mind, “Be without the three gunas...possessed of the Self (atmavan)”. Lord Krishna provides the first truly profound instruction to Arjuna. Allow your self Arjuna to be held, possessed by Atma, that which is beyond the world of thinking, the world of loss and gain, of cause and effect. That state of awareness that is pure consciousness in its own nature. That state that some refer to as the silent witness. Rest there Oh Arjuna.

Another iconic verse for me is found in chapter 6 v 32. Lord Krishna said, “He who sees evenness in everything... Is thought to be the highest yogi”.

There is a five verse run up to this verse starting with verse 28 and the “contact with Brahman”. Then to verse 29, the seeing of Self in all beings and all beings in the Self. Verse 30, seeing all things in Me (Krishna). Verse 31, the honoring of Me (Krishna) abiding in all beings. And finally, verse 32, seeing evenness in everything.

In my humble opinion I find this to be the end of the Gita in many ways. Since, we have been taken from seeing everything as Self, a very non-personal state. To seeing everything in Me, the Lord Krishna, a very personal state. To seeing everything as evenness, a non-personal and personal state combined. A state where the Self and devotion to God meet in such a way that perfect oneness is known. Where both the illumined individual and the universal God are inseparable. Could there be more?

I never thought so until my new iconic verse hit me.

In chapter 13 v 12 through 16, yet another five verse run, there appears to be yet another wrinkle. Verse 12 states that the highest (param) Brahman is (na sat) not existence. Nor (na asat) non-existence. Whoa, what have we here?

Some say its both, in an attempt to regain a consciousness foundation. But, Lord Krishna says very plainly that its neither.

Right here is why full enlightenment is said to be incomprehensible. Logical thinking will never be able to explain the state of full enlightenment. I love it. A reality that will always be a mystery.

These five verses go on with statements like, outside and inside beings, moving and not moving, far away and also near. Finally ending in verse 16 with, “This is to be known as the sustainer of beings, their devourer and creator”.

Now, that’s heavy.

My sense is, Lord Krishna has painted an impossible portrayal, leaving Arjuna and in turn all true seekers with only one alternative - Surrender. Surrender to the will of God. You are the actor as well as not the actor. So act.

Be Anywhere

Narissa Moeller April 30, 2020

In my last blog we discussed time now let’s examine space (akasha).

There are 5 elements, earth, water, fire, air and space. Each is associated with a sense of perception. Earth with smell, water with taste, fire with sight, and space with hearing (sound).

Let’s peel back the layers of space/sound. When we sit quietly you may notice that you can hear the nothingness. It comes as tones. Some are high pitched and others are of a low drone. If you listen closely you’ll hear several tones at the same time one within the other. If everything in creation is vibration then you are hearing the sounds of creation over and over again. “Curving back on my own nature, I create again and again”. Lord Krishna says this in the Bhagavad Gita.

Maharishi Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras, has a section entitled, Powers. In that section in item 43 Patanjali provides the formula for levitation. The first part of it is based on the creation of a relationship between one’s body and the ether, as Patanjali puts it. When I feel into this ether/space/akasha I sense being space. My identity is not of the body so in a way I’m nowhere. However, I am endless space so I’m everywhere. As such, this really doesn’t feel like a sutra/formula for levitation but rather one for teleportation. A way to find your body anywhere in the universe, virtually instantaneously. I honestly think the mastery of this technique is the principle by which advanced civilizations in the universe travel.

If I wish to experience levitation I find it more useful to use the association of body with air or vayu, the sanskrit name for air/wind. Feeling into this, although not as stable as the creation of a relationship with space, actually causes the body to bounce/float. It seems that a blend of vayu and akasha works best. Yes, very fine points but we are talking of mastery and control. A perfection of the basic technique.

Yet another fine point of creating a relationship between body and space is in the act of identification with space. We will find our body to be less material in nature, adopting more of a space nature. Less material means less visible. I believe this is the fundamental component to both space travel and the phasing in and out of materialization.

All of this may sound fictional in nature but believe me it’s where our consciousness development is headed. We may as well start to investigate it. I love that each of us have all the equipment for this journey. It’s pretty much a matter of attention and identification. Safe travels my friends.

Be The Future Now

Narissa Moeller April 28, 2020

Seems like we are always in the process of development. Becoming a more enlightened being. The concept of becoming or developing inherently assumes the framework of time. We are something now but with work we can be something better later.

What if, we allow ourselves to feel beyond time? To sense a reality not restricted by time. If so, then that grand future self is actually here, now. The job is already done.

You say, what about the concept of hard work to build something, someone better? I say, it’s still there but mainly for the folks that are attached to time and space. Will there not be a “time” when we are not so tightly held to time and space? Of course, there will.

This whole thing doesn’t have to be a revolutionary development. It can be gradual. In fact, we are working towards this anyway. This actual reality of having experience beyond time and space. Transcending in our meditation is an experience, in its deepest sense, that is beyond time and space. Aren't we seeking to develop that more?

So how do we shake hands with this more fully developed self? I see it as simply allowing our attention to go there. When we need to make a decision ask, what would a more enlightened me, do in this situation? In this way we are invoking, giving life to that future self. Overtime, that future self will become more of a part of our president self. Just sit for a moment and feel that future self.

Notice how easy it is to be that. The blueprint for future-you is contained in current-you. Future-you is already here. That’s why it’s so easy to imagine that self. It’s simply “you” less inhibited by the construct of time and space, reverberating at a higher frequency. It feels good doesn't it? You're happier. More expanded. Full.

Although, there is an instant component to this fast track to consciousness development note that there will be an adjustment phase. The physiology and psychology will have to function in this higher state so there is a transition phase but knowing that this is a simple method of development will go a long way in allowing us to accept those adjustments. We can always rest in future-self and directly experience the benefits. In this way we will inspire our self, with our self, for our self. :) ❤️

Wave Function (part 3)

Narissa Moeller February 2, 2020

We’ve discussed the particle nature of the wave function and the amplitude and frequency of it as well. Now, let’s focus on the undulation of the wave function.

Many have experienced within meditation a sense  of a rhythmic movement and undulation. Actually, a seemingly endless undulation. So what is that?

There’s a layer of experience in meditation that’s not quite full silence it’s the stirring of that silent, nothingness state. This is the foundation of creation just before full fledged creation. It’s not quite at the level of the full excitation of creation. It’s simply the seemingly lazy awakening of creation. It’s experienced as a sleepy stir and slow undulation of the silence.

This undulation has been symbolized as a slow moving serpent. Shesha, the seven headed serpent on which Vishnu reposes. Vasuki, nagaraja (royal serpent) that is draped around the neck of Shiva. The serpent found in the garden of eden.

Let’s take a closer look at this experience of the undulating movement of consciousness.

Consciousness can be spoken of as a noun or a verb, let’s discuss it as a verb. In this reference consciousness is the act of being conscious, aware, awake to its Self. If we have an action then there is a subject (the actor) and an object (that being acted upon).

If consciousness is the action then the actor must be existence. Is-ness is at the basis of am-ness.

Existence is the true Self. It simply is. It is pure singularity. The one, the only. In this pure state it seeks no apparatus for knowing (knowledge) it Self. However, for whatever reason, if there needs to be one, there’s a desire for Perfect Self to know Self. This inspires an action. The act of being conscious. The birth of consciousness. The beginning of Duality. Because how can something look at itself without the creation of another self. This is the creation of duality. True original sin. The undulating “serpent” in the garden of eden offering fruit from the tree of knowledge. Knowledge of good and evil. The birth of duality.

If knowledge is structured in consciousness then consciousness is structured in existence.

I’ve casted consciousness in a bad light because from the perspective of singularity, duality is not a good thing. It’s the disruption of Oneness. However, from the standpoint of Wholeness it must be accepted because wholeness says Yes to everything. From the position of multiplicity the verb consciousness is revered as a major stepping stone on the path to singularity. Truth is different in different states of consciousness (the noun).

Back to the components of our sentence, subject (existence), verb (consciousness), and object (self). And now the sentence. Self knows Self for Self. There’s the 3 in 1 the ancients speak of. (Sorry couldn’t help myself had to play with this).

The experience of undulating consciousness is a good thing, for in the end Shiva is friends with the  nagaraja Vasuki as Vishnu is friends with his bed the nagaraja Shesha. As in our experience where undulating consciousness comes from the stirrings of silence.

Happy meditations ❤️❤️❤️

Wave Function (part 2)

Narissa Moeller January 28, 2020

Many feel this wave as an impulse or a breathing. There is a back and forth to it. Its rhythmic. To me its like a tidal wave moving so strongly that I’ve considered taking dramamine (ha).

Be it a pulsation or tidal wave its consciousness on the move. This undulation has been symbolically expressed as a snake.

The snake of maya wrapped around Shiva’s neck. The seven headed snake that Vishnu reclines on. Even the snake in the garden of eden. All symbolic of maya but more about that in another blog.

When I feel into this wave I notice that the very top where the wave crests actually disappears into nothingness, samadhi and when it reappears its changed direction and it’s on its way down. At the trough the wave again disappears into nothingness and so it goes.

The path up and the path down on close examination happens in stages, eight of them to be precise. The eight tumblings of prakriti. Tumbling up then tumbling down. At each turn, the wave has a pause and disappears into nothingness but in a general way all we really notice is the wave or pulsation. So much for amplitude, let’s discuss frequency.

When the frequency is high the up and down part of the waves are closer together and the pulsation is rapid. So much so, that many experience both the up and the down virtually simultaneously. This accounts for the sense of kundalini rising while simultaneously Grace is descending.

This is what yields enlightenment. This is why high frequency consciousness is sought. But it’s not just high frequency, it’s high amplitude too.

I know this sounds completely abstract but simply take away what you can digest. Knowledge of this phenomenon is not a prerequisite for enlightenment it just helps to explain it.

Most people live their enlightenment quietly resting in its peacefulness and these finite details are of no use to them and I respect that. However, others continue to derive joy from the endless unfoldment of the layers of consciousness and I respect that. I find myself saying, Yes, to all of it.

Take away what gives you joy.

Wave Function (part 1)

Narissa Moeller January 28, 2020

In my previous blog I discussed the pixelated nature of the universe. How everything in creation can be reduced to the tiniest particles. Each particle containing the elements, characteristics of a universe. Self contained, requiring nothing. These tiny particles are not just the ground state of physical matter but that of spiritual matter as well. That would include angels, gods, goddesses, ascended masters, everything. In the highest of realms these tiny individualities are subtle vibrations. They are the finite syllables of the vedas come to life.

Once we put attention on them, acknowledge them, they thrill our very soul. They are bliss incarnate, colorfully bubbling, delivering joy. Take a moment to rest in them even now in your heart using your internal sense of touch to feel them and the experience of their natural joy is yours.

As a collection they serve as the hymns of the vedas. There’s a vedic saying that goes, “he who does not know the hymns of the vedas what can the hymns do for him”. This is a good reason to connect with these tiny beings.

As hymns these tiny guys are functioning as a team creating a flow of vibrating pure consciousness. Consciousness on the move. This movement is directed therefore it is, expressed intelligence. This movement is experienced as a wave. The entirety of the vedas are a collection of these tiny beings functioning in unisons. In Latin “uni” means one and “son” means sound. This is literally what’s being expressed. This one sound is the fundamental characteristic of Veda. And Veda is the fundamental component of everything. We are Veda through and through.

Remember, tiny sweet joyful beings, functioning in unisons as a wave, thrilling from the depths of our soul to the end of the universe.

(Sorry I didn’t write much about the character of the wave function but the fundamental components of the wave needed to be introduced properly. See wave function part 2 for the rest of the story. :)

Seeing Truth

Narissa Moeller January 13, 2020

My last blog was very abstract, this blog is an attempt to bring the principles discussed in the last blog, literally, to light.

For best results, do this excise in a dimly lite room at night.

If we quietly peer into the air or space around us and mainly pay attention to light and dark we will notice that dark areas contain light and light areas contain dark.

The light and dark can be seen in somewhat of a pixelated vision. Tiny particles of light and dark.

Take a moment to do this

Now, really peer into the darkness you’ll be surprised by how much light is in that darkness. Now, peer into light objects like white clothes, bedding, walls or ceiling and notice how much darkness is contained in those light colored objects.

Now, continue to look at the air or space in a non focused manner and close your eyes. Peer into that darkness and notice the light held within that darkness. There is literally no difference between looking with eyes open or closed in the proportion of light in that darkness.

Take a moment to do this.

Notice that the space, air, objects all around you can be viewed as tiny pixels of light and dark in every direction with no end, with eyes open or closed. This is awareness. Lively, vibrating awareness experienced inside and out, forever, without end or beginning.

Rest with this for awhile.

In my previous blog I discussed the qualities contained within the gaps of the vedic syllables those of fullness and emptiness. Let’s substitute fullness for light and darkness for  emptiness. In doing so we have located the principles of the laws of nature of fullness and emptiness to be found, right before our eyes, literally. We have brought to life, Veda.

Peer into those vibrating sparkling tiny pixels of light and dark, available everywhere, with eyes open or closed, extending endlessly and know, this is Veda but more important its You. All of It. Without separation. In complete Wholeness. Forever. With no beginning or end. ❤️

Gaps Between Syllables of Vedic Sounds

Narissa Moeller January 10, 2020

Ag-Ni is the first word of the RK Veda broken into two syllables.

Maharishi has discussed how that gap between the syllables has served as a gateway to yet a deeper layer of Veda. In so doing he has revealed the suktas (192 syllables) in each of the 10 mandalas of RK Veda.  This provides a picture of a very full awareness. The fullness of fullness.

Now, let’s discuss the fullness of emptiness.

These gaps in the syllables between the sounds of Veda also are separations. Allowing for a pause between the sounds, a pause or collapse containing nothing, emptiness. Looking at Veda from this perspective it can be said to be, the fullness of emptiness.

In this way the gap serves as both a separation and connection between the syllables. Both modes of function are equally available to one’s awareness, simultaneously.

So, we have fullness and we have emptiness simultaneously expressed, let’s examine the characteristics of That space, the space between these 2 fields.

This is a divine force or space both strong enough to hold together each field of fullness and emptiness plus have the compassion to seek to harmonize and honor the integrity of each field.

Truly a space of unbounded love and strength.

If I were to assign deities to these 3 fields I would speak of fullness as Vishnu. Emptiness as Shiva. And that, that simultaneously holds and honors those 2 fields together with strength and love as Divine Mother.

Many teachers and seekers choose one of these 3 camps to build their understanding of consciousness development. In all fairness each system is powerful and will deliver one's awareness to enlightenment. However, the simultaneous grasp of all 3 will yield Wholeness. We owe it to our development to capture full Truth.

Experience Enlightenment

Narissa Moeller September 21, 2019

Thought I’d attempt to deliver more than a discussion on enlightenment in this blog. The actual experience of this state is so much more satisfying and simpler than one would imagine so let’s give it a go.

Indian philosophy denotes 5 elements - earth, water, fire, air and akasha (space). Let’s focus on air and akasha. These two elements are an easy transition to consciousness.

While sitting comfortably look around you in somewhat of a non-focused manner. You see the objects but you don’t let yourself register much by way of distinction or delineation. See these objects as just stuff around you with no particular attraction or engagement.

Now in your vision step back a bit to see the air between your eyes and the object. Notice everywhere you look there is air. Let your vision and in turn your mind absorb that. Rest in this state for a while, a few seconds or perhaps minutes, whatever feels comfortable.

Yeah, there’s air all around us. Some of it we see. Some we don’t. Rest with that thought.

That air can be seen or thought of as space as well. Rest with that for a few moments.

Space is everywhere.

Seen/felt all around us, within the objects we are seeing. Through those objects. Beyond those objects expanded to an infinite distance even. Rest with that for a moment.

Understand that that “space” can also be thought of or felt as consciousness. Available between, through and beyond everything we see and even what we don’t see. It’s endless. Rest with that for a moment.

This awareness is a simple state of simply being what is. Our real nature is this. Consciousness. Seen, felt, known. There is nothing we are not. We are everything. Everywhere. Forever.

This is the simple experience of enlightenment. Rest with it.

Namaste

Beyond Witnessing Part I

Narissa Moeller August 17, 2019

Witnessing happens when we identify with the big Self and watch our five senses, thinking, emotions, small self (ego) function amongst the phenomenal world. We sit back as it were playing the part of the observer. The observer to everything. As the silent witness we stand unattached to our actions. We allow our senses, mind, feelings to interact with the world. Initially, the separation is a big gap. You find your small self interacting in the world yet the infinite-you is uninvolved. The Real-you is resting in its own contentment unaffected by the goings and comings of the actions of the small self.

There is both joy and discomfort in this state of consciousness. The big Self is fulfilled and content but the subtle currents of the small self feels a sense of guilt due to a sense of responsibility. Responsibility for our charges. Without a plan, direction, intent - how will things get done? However, the attraction to the big Self is so satisfying and feels so right that in the end it wins out. The small self gradually sees success in this new mode of operation. Things get done, people we are responsible for get handled, we continue to make a living all without a formal plan, somehow almost by itself. This gives us confidence to let go even more.

After sometime of functioning like this the gap between the big Self and the small self starts to close and we slowly begin to recognize a change. We start to appreciate the phenomenal world and the value of our involvement in that world. And through this subtle bond of acceptance and harmony, love begins to blossom. This love becomes so strong that the heart begins to override the head's sense of separation to deliver us to Unity, rendering us Whole. It’s such a blissful state that everywhere we look we see heaven in all its golden essence. This golden vision echoes back our love to fill our hearts again and again in lovely waves of bliss to the point where our hearts can only open. The love pangs are almost unbearable.

There’s more but this moment is too full to not rest here for a while and allow ourselves to be washed over by it. Just fall back and enjoy. ❤️❤️❤️

Brahman Consciousness (BC) vs Unity Consciousness (UC)

Narissa Moeller August 5, 2019

UC is unification of the world of attributes from the gross material to the rarified celestial. I like to call it the World of Everything. Or just plain Everything for short. :)

Beyond Everything is Nothing. Even samadhi, according to Maharishi Patanjali, has two aspects, savikalpa - samadhi with attributes and nirvikalpa - samadhi without attributes.

Nothing isn’t spoken of much, I mean like what can you say about Nothing. :) So, Everything gets all the attention. But let’s shine some light on Nothingness.

Nothingness can be spoken of as Shiva. Many call Shiva the destroyer but he’s really the lack of Everything-ness. A state of no identity of No Self. He is Transcendence with a capital “T”. This can be termed as ‘destroyer’ if we are strongly attached to Everything-ness. And if you experience Nothingness completely it’s pretty scary in the beginning when you realize you really have nothing to hang on to. You are absolutely alone. That experience will shake you to the core and will never be forgotten.

From the standpoint of Everything, Nothingness seems like a destroyer. However, from the standpoint of Nothingness it’s simply a counter balance to Everything-ness. Here in lies the case for Nothingness to have equal billing with Everything. Now unification here unveils a more mature comprehension of consciousness development a state of early Brahman Consciousness.

Words used to describe BC are totality, wholeness, evenness. This comes from the inclusion of Nothingness with Everything and its being appreciated as, of equal value, seen everywhere in everything without separation. One within the other, literally impossible to separate.

In the first few verses of chapter 5 of the Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna discusses renunciation of action, Samkhya (Nothingness) and the union of action, Yoga (Everything) as one. At the end of chapter 5 verse 5 Krishna ends with, “... He who sees Samkhya and Yoga to be one, verily he sees”.
